Does Pathways integrate with other Education Advanced products?

Can Pathways be customized for our district?

Yes. Districts can configure custom four-year planners, local sequences, academic/diploma requirements, reports, forms, and dashboards to reflect local policies and accountability indicators. Pathways adapts easily to changing state requirements without disrupting existing workflows.

How does Pathways protect student data?

All student data is encrypted during transfer and storage. Access is role-based, ensuring that only authorized staff can view sensitive student records. Education Advanced maintains strict compliance with FERPA and state privacy laws.

Is MyPathways available after graduation?

Graduated students can access their MyPathways account for one year after graduation, per district settings, ensuring they retain access to their academic records and postsecondary planning data.

How does the MyPathways portal work?

Students and guardians log in using district-provided credentials. The portal works on mobile and desktop, and counselors can “ghost” a student view to preview what families see.

Can students and parents access progress information in Pathways?

Yes. The MyPathways Family Portal provides students and guardians with a secure, read-only view of academic progress, graduation status, and postsecondary plans. Districts determine which data is visible and can customize the display.

Does Pathways support Work-Based Learning (WBL) tracking and reporting?

Yes. Pathways tracks internships, job shadowing, apprenticeships, and other WBL experiences in one place. Districts can upload documentation, collect mentor feedback, verify completion, and include WBL data in graduation, CTE, and accountability reports.

Can Pathways log counseling activities and student interactions?

Yes. The built-in logging system allows counselors to record meetings, interventions, and communications for compliance and accountability reporting. Administrators can generate summary logs for oversight and audit purposes.

Can Pathways track student-athlete eligibility for NCAA or NAIA?

Yes. Pathways includes tools to monitor NCAA and NAIA eligibility, including GPA, course completion, and division-specific academic requirements. This helps counselors support student-athletes’ postsecondary goals with accuracy.

Does Pathways help districts manage FAFSA completion?

Yes. Counselors can view FAFSA completion data, send reminders, and log opt-out forms directly in Pathways. Reports make it easy to verify compliance with state and federal financial aid requirements.

Can Pathways manage CTE programs and industry certifications?

Can Pathways help with accountability and funding reports?

Yes. Pathways generates CCMR and CTE Program of Study/Completer and CTE Concentrator reports to identify funding eligibility and ensure compliance with state accountability indicators. These reports can be filtered by cohort, campus, or counselor caseload.

How does Pathways help counselors track student progress toward graduation?

Pathways consolidates every student’s data—credits, grades, test scores, diploma requirements, and endorsements/additional performance indicators—into one interactive worksheet. Counselors can instantly identify missing requirements, flag at-risk students, and generate reports for administrators or parents.

Is Pathways FERPA-compliant and secure?

Yes. Pathways meets FERPA and state data privacy requirements. All student data is encrypted in transit and at rest using AWS-based security. Role-based access ensures only authorized district personnel can view sensitive information.

How often does Pathways update student data?

Data feeds run regularly to reflect the most current grades, test results, and student information. This ensures graduation progress, CTE and CCMR metrics, and accountability reports remain accurate at all times.

How does Pathways integrate with our Student Information System (SIS)?

Pathways securely syncs with your district’s SIS through regular data feeds. Student grades, GPA, course history, test scores, and demographics are able to be updated automatically to ensure staff always have current data.

Do I need to install software to use Pathways?

No installation is required. Pathways is a secure, web-based platform accessible through any modern browser—allowing counselors and administrators to manage graduation tracking, reporting, and planning from any device.

Which Student Information Systems (SIS) are compatible with Pathways?

Pathways is compatible with all major SIS platforms, including Skyward, PowerSchool, Ascender, eSchoolPlus, and Infinite Campus. Our integration engineers configure secure, automated transfers for each district’s setup. Please contact us if your SIS isn’t listed here.

What data can be entered into Pathways?

Pathways has the ability to ingest many data points - ultimately for display in one location for districts to view and report on. These data points include: student information (historical and current grades, GPA, etc.), diploma type, endorsement, state and national standardized test scores, certifications and credentials, AP and IB scores, and more.

Are there other ways Pathways can be used in our schools?

Pathways can be used for a variety of graduation requirements tracking, accountability indicator and CTE tracking, as well as a general counseling tool. It provides a “one-stop shop” for most of these items; however, some of the tools built into the system have been repurposed for other district-specific needs.
