Technology Integration Initiatives

I believe strongly in the transparency of technology.  By that I mean that the technological tools that we use should be a part of what we do, we should not use them for the sake of using them.  I see technology integration as having the knowledge and skill to use the right tool at the right time for the sake of increased effectiveness and/or efficiency.  The following three artifacts attest to my ability to implement that vision in a variety of settings.  As a testament to the authenticity of the integration you will find that these artifacts are listed in other sections, but viewed from a different perspective.

The first artifact was generated while I was a member of the curricular and implementation teams for a grant to develop a truly technology integrated program.  It was part of the "TARGET" Grant, locally named "Lab-in-a-Bag".  The curriculum for the grant is available in the curricular section.  The artifact is a video documenting our progress which served as an example that teachers would use to create their own videos.

The second artifact is a PowerPoint presentation I used while presenting at several state conferences to detail the 60 hour staff development initiative "Driving Classroom Decisions with Data".  More information about the program can be found in the staff development section.

The final artifact is a content management driven website.  My wife and I decided to create a clearinghouse for activities and events available for the children in the Tyler area.  She maintains the content and I provide the technical design and implementation.
